CHAPTER 18:
NANNY MADNESS
THE ARTBORNS UNLEASHED

One day, Cid was in a trouble. Both him and Tina where needed doing important stuff, so none of them would be able to take care of their kids. Cid aproached Baxter and said: "Hello, Baxter. You see... me and Tina are going to be very busy, and we would really apreciate if you could check on the kids this day. They really like you, and I'm sure you can take care of things. Anyway, I need to go now. See you!!" Baxter couldn't said a thing when Cid just teleported away. "Oh... I can't take care of those kids again... they will finish up making my hair fall. I need someone else to do it for me, at least this time. But who could it be? Might as well ask the newest of us, but who is it?" he thought. He then saw MercuryPenny and some others running towards the door leading outside. "Wait. Are we all the ones who are ment to go?" asked Mercury. "Uh, I think Sicari was coming..." said Glorious. Baxter grined.

Sicari was getting prepared when Baxter aproached her. "Um, hi. I needed to tell you Cid asked me to tell you to please take care of his kids today..." he said. "Uh? I thought they needed me in a front today" she answered. "Nope, Cid told me you will do it. I'm the one going to the field today" answered Baxter. "Um... but I don't know anything about taking care of kids..." she said. "Don't worry, they are nice kids, you'll be fine. Anyway, they are waiting for me. See you!!" he said, as he rushed towards the exit. Sicari just stayed there, not really believing what she just heard.

After a while, she went to look for the kids, who where playing in the main hall. "Uh? Where is uncle Baxter?" asked Sherrytoo. "Well, they told him to go to fight bad guys, and to me to stay with you (I think)" she said. "That's weird. I heard daddy telling Baxter he was going to take care of us" said Midna. Sicari's face showed anger. "Oh really?! (That cat is going to pay...)" she said. "Um... are you going to leave us alone?" asked Peter. "No, guess there's no choice now. ... So... what do you want to do?" said Sicari, a bit unsure. "We want to go play outside" said Midna. "Ok, that can be done. Let's go" said Sicari, worried of what might happen.

And WHAT happened!!

Meawnhile, Baxter and the others arrived to their location. "No offense, but I was sure Sicari was the one coming..." said GloriousWater. "Well, she wanted to stay with the kids today, and told me to go with you!!" lied Baxter. "Ok, as you say. For now, I think we should brace ourselves..." said MercuryPenny, as smoke started to cover them up...

Back at Skyridia, things were mad!! The kids ran all over the place, and where touching and playing with everything in sight. And they moved fast. Sicari was having a great trouble keeping with them. One wasn't hard, but they where three of them. They got to close to the border of the floating island, they tried climbing a tree, they where stomping on the flower garden... a complete mess. Sicari was actually getting tired easilly. Never before she had to take care of small kids, at least as small as them. After a while, however, they calmed down a bit, and things where easier. Now the problem was that everything was a bit too boring. Sicari prefered being out there figthing bad guys; even Nancy would do. After a while, Midna aproached her and asked: "Could you please check me out when trying to practice some Imaginum?" She agreed. Midna made some hand moves, and a complete fire ball appeared. "This took me quite a while, but I finally made it stay" said Midna happilly. Suddenly, she sneezed, and the fireball flew to a bush, which started burning. "Oh gods!!" exclaimed Sicari, as she searched for some water to turn it off. Just when she fixed that, she felt a pull on her skirt. It was Sherrytoo. "Aunt Sicari, Peter climbed on that pillar" she said, pointing at Peter, who was looking down, and seemed prepared to jump. And he did. Sicari reacted in time, and was able to catch him. "What where you doing?!" she asked worried. "I was trying to fly" he said. "Is your cape magical or something? Because you don't seem like you can fly" she said. "but I feel I can fly. If I try, maybe I can" added Peter. "Ok, but don't do it right now, ok?" she said. Peter agreed, and went somewhere else to play.
Some time passed, and Sicari was starting to fall asleep when she heard Sherrytoo crying. She aproached her and asked her why she was sad. "I lost my Luigi doll. <Sob>" she said. "Um... and can't you play with something else?" she asked. "No, it's very special. Can you help me find it? <Snif>" she said, showing some big, bright and sad eyes. Sicari said yes, and started searching for the doll. She searched for like an hour, on all the island, but it didn't appeared. "I just hope it didn't fell..." she thought. Not finding it, she returned to where the kids where, and saw Sherrytoo playing with the Luigi Doll. "Uh? When did you found it?" she asked. "Oh, it wasn't lost. Peter had asked it borrowed, and I forgot" answered Sherrytoo. Sicari pañm faced. "I wish I went to battle instead..." she murmured.

Meanwhile, Baxter was scared while fighting. He had fought scary things before, but this was taking the cake. He was moving slowly, taking care, when Nancy appeared behind him. "Neko's aren't particularly good, but there's some parts of them very tasty. Specially....... the ears!!" she said, making Baxter gulp. "I wish I stayed with the kids" he tought.

After a big while, Sicari was very bored now. Suddenly, the kids aproached her and said: "We wan't to go inside now." They went inside, and they started playing with some toys. Sicair sat on a bench, and started thinking of how she finished in all that. Suddenly, she heard a scream from the girls. It was a frightened scream. Sicari pulled out Resa's sword, and ran to where they where. "What happened?" she asked. Midna pointed with fear to a pillar. There was a spider there. "It's a scary spider!!" she said. Peter arrived and said. "I'll take care of it." "No Peter!! It's a dangerous spider!!" said Sherrytoo. Peter didn't answered and punched the spider while shouting: "FalconPunch punch!!" The pillar collapsed completly. "Wow. Didn't knew the pillars where made of cheap material..." thought Sicari. The kids aproached her and said. "Aunt Sicari, we are hungry..." "Oh no.... I'm not too good at cooking. K-16 is the one that does it..." she said in an enough tone the kids heard it. "Don't worry, we'll cook" they said.

They went to the kitchen, when Sicari asked: "Are you sure?" "Yes, we cook with daddy all the time. We just need you to turn on the oven" said Sherrytoo. They started getting all sorts of cooking tools, as well as ingredients of all kind. "Add some more chocolate. Peter, do not add too much mustard. Do not forget to add some spinach to eat our veggies Sherry..." ordered Midna, with the others obeying completly. Once they finished, they handed it over to Sicari. "Um... guess yoshis eat wierd stuff..." she said, as she placed the thing on the oven. They waited for a while, when suddenly, smoke started coming out, and the oven just blew up. Everyone finished black thanks to the smoke. "Guess foaming cream with a flammable warning wasn't a good ingredient..." said Midna.

Some time passed. The kids ate some canned food they found and they where now drawing stuff. Sicari was upset now. All the day was a disaster. She had her face on the table, when the kids aproached her. "This is for you..." they said, as they hanged over the paper. She saw it and was surprised. It was a very preaty flower, a bit bad colored, but well made. There where some words saying: Thank you for taking care of us, and the names of the kids where there. Sicari thanked them with a smile. And after that, they whent to the living room, and they fell asleep. Sicari saw them, now happier. This kids went through much this day, and even when things weren't that good, I'm sure they will grow well from it" she thought. Then she felt something weird, like she was realising something.

After a few while, Baxter and the others arrived. They looked VERY tired. "Hello. So how did it went?" she asked. "It was awefull. We can't say we won or losed, to be honest..." said MercuryPenny. Sicari aproached Baxter, and said: "I know from the kids it was YOU who was supposed to see them..." she said. "I'm sorry, but they always go crazy on me. I won't do it again. Was it so aweful?" he said. "Well, not as much as I thought. It was a good change of pace" she said. Then she got closer to him and whispered: "But if you trick me again, I'll give Resa a good reason to take her blessing from me, got it?" Baxter just swallowed hard.
